Originally launched as the Backpack Distribution, our Survival Supply Distribution is a bi-annual event that unites community members to collect and distribute thousands of essential supplies, such as hygiene items, sleeping bags, flashlights, and pet supplies, to people experiencing homelessness during the summer and winter months.
Our events are often held in downtown San Diego where attendees can freely select items they need and receive personalized support from our staff and service provider partners.
COVID-19 Safety Measures
Since 2020, we returned to our roots of distributing backpacks, or Dignity Packs, pre-filled with toiletries, supplies, and water, in lieu of in-person Survival Supply Distribution events to ensure the safety of our unhoused neighbors, staff, and volunteers.
