Why I Serve...

“I serve with Think Dignity because dignity is the starting point for justice. As a public defender, I’ve seen how systems can strip people of their humanity, and at Think Dignity, we work to restore it—creating pathways for people experiencing homelessness to be seen, heard, and valued.”

– Matt

“I serve because justice starts when we center each person’s story, their dignity, and continue to show up with compassion.”

– Amanda

“When I was in my teens my family struggled with homelessness. Organizations like Think Dignity helped my family find housing. That’s why I volunteer, because I know what it’s like to be in that situation. Now that I have the means, it’s my duty to give back.”

– A.

“I serve because dignity shouldn’t be conditional. Everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and housed.”

– Edward

“Bringing dignity to those who are homeless is not only the right thing to do, but is a first step in fueling self worth, hope and energy towards transitioning to a more stable life.”

– Kristi
